Our Work
服務內容
Every week, we provide online English lessons to children from rural areas.
我們是一群高中生，利用自己的英文特長，提供偏鄉孩童英語視訊家教服務。
Long-term Service:
Unlike many volunteering programs which last for a few days or weeks during school breaks, we ensure to provide service throughout the entire school year. We believe the key to real impact (especially in terms of learning a language) is continuous guidance and stimulation.
長期服務: 有別於一般寒暑假的偏鄉服務營隊，我們提供的是長期陪伴，利用學期間每週一次的視訊課程，有效提升孩童英語能力。
One-on-One Sessions:
We provide one-on-one lessons, pairing the same teacher with the same child weekly. This is the best way for our volunteers and children to form invaluable bonds and connections that foster the most effective learning. We also want to assure each child receives the attention and customized support they need.
一對一服務: 為了提高學習效率，我們採一對一配對，由一位志工固定服務一位孩童，一方面能夠量身打造客製化的學習教材，另一方面也建立志工孩童間的情感連結及學習默契。

Our mission is to provide rural children with opportunities to strive for a better future. We hope to achieve this through three main goals:

Our Service Sites
我們的服務據點
We serve 19 rural sites across Taiwan—including Yilan, Miaoli, Yunlin, Chiayi, Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, and Taitung—reaching over 500 students in the past four years. Partnering with local schools, churches, and tutoring centers, we offer weekly online reading sessions after school.
我們的服務範圍涵蓋宜蘭頭城、苗栗南湖、雲林麥寮、嘉義義竹、新竹尖石、臺中大肚、彰化線西、台東成功等19個據點，五年多來共惠及超過500多名偏鄉學童。合作對象包括當地學校、教會、課輔中心...等。利用放學時間，安排每週一次的線上伴讀。
Our Volunteers
我們的志工
The Beyond Horizon Youth Volunteer Team includes 184 students from 32 high schools in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Australia, and the U.S., including international, American, and bilingual programs. They provide weekly online reading support for rural children.
Beyond Horizon 青少年志工團的成員來自台灣、香港、中國、澳洲、美國等地共32所高中，包含國際學校、美國學校，以及一般高中英語實驗班與雙語班。目前共有184位志工每週投入線上伴讀服務。
